Standards-Based Creative Writing Adventure
Apply today to cross a lesson plan off your to-do list!

STORY QUEST is an affordable and accessible audio adventure through the building blocks of creative writing from Story Pirates for 3rd and 4th graders! Your students will enjoy exclusive access to mini-podcast episodes spun off from the award-winning Story Pirates Podcast and embark on an exciting and hilarious outer-space-themed journey while learning Common Core ELA Standards W4.3 (A-E) writing techniques to create their own stories.  Our program is designed to be affordable for classrooms, simple for teachers to implement, and we even grant free programs to select schools that demonstrate a need and strong interest in participating.

Story Quest is brought to you by Story Pirates Changemakers, the nonprofit arm of Story Pirates

What Makes Story Quest Unique?

What Teachers are Saying:

How Story Quest Works

  • Title I and/or under-resourced schools complete an application to clarify need, demographics, and interest.

  • Once selected, classroom teachers enroll by providing contact information and class rosters

  • Classes receive 4 weeks of narrative writing lessons in the form of hilarious mini-podcasts created by the creators of the world-famous Story Pirates Podcast.

  • Students use Story Quest graphic organizers and story sheets to outline and write their original stories.

  • Teachers send each student’s story to Story Pirates who read and respond to every story with a personalized note of encouragement

  • 6-8 weeks later, classes will receive a surprise final episode, custom-made for each classroom featuring the characters from Story Quest and identifying specific kids and stories submitted.
